Conan Edogawa's Strawberry Shortcake is inspired by the protagonist’s voice-changing bow tie, and made of a soft sponge and velvety whipped cream that highlights the sweet tartness of the strawberries.
Ran Mōri's Super Melon Shortcake is based on New Otani’s signature cake, with extra-sweet muskmelons and carefully prepared sponge and cream.

Written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama, the first manga episode of Detective Conan was published in 1994. Since then the title has sold over 270 million copies worldwide.
The story follows the adventures of protagonist Conan Edogawa, who looks like an elementary school student but is actually a high schooler detective Shinichi Kudo. He had been shrunk by a toxic substance forced down his throat by attackers clad in black. He moves into the home of childhood friend Ran Mōri, whose father is a private eye, and begins his pursuit of the Black Organization. Through this endeavor, he happens upon innumerable mysterious cases, and even encounters the greatest phantom thief in the century!
TV anime series Detective Conan is aired in Japan from 6:00pm on Saturdays (excluding some regions) through the Yomiuri TV/Nippon TV syndicate.
