Taste Comparison of Mont Blancs Featuring Chestnuts from Japan, France, and Italy

Experience three distinct Mont Blancs, each showcasing the unique character of its origin. Japanese chestnuts boast a fragrant aroma and rich sweetness, French chestnuts offer an elegant and delicate sweetness, and Italian chestnuts provide a deep, moist richness. These three varieties come together as Mont Blanc, the quintessential autumn sweet. Served in adorable mini sizes, you can enjoy as many comparisons as you like. We also offer a variety of other chestnut sweets capturing the bounty of autumn, including “Roasted Chestnut Pudding” and “Chestnut Gelato.”

Exquisite Sweets Featuring Rich Matcha from Yamamasa Koyamaen, a 160-Year-Old Established Shop

We offer a selection of exquisite sweets generously made with Yamamasa Koyamaen's carefully selected variety, “Samidori.” Enjoy a diverse range of matcha sweets, including Matcha Roll, Matcha Cream Puff, Matcha Panna Cotta, and Matcha Gelato.

Yamase Koyamaen, a venerable establishment founded over 160 years ago in Uji, continues to support Kyoto's tea culture.
This buffet luxuriously features their premium memorial tea for the tea ceremony, “Matcha ‘Samidori’”. Named after the superior variety selected by the third-generation head, Masajiro, it is characterized by its rich aroma and robust umami flavor, made from stone-ground first flush tea leaves.

The New Otani's renowned “Super Series” also makes an appearance

The signature dessert representing Hotel New Otani, the “Super Melon Shortcake,” also makes an appearance. This exquisite shortcake uses luxurious muskmelons with a sugar content of 14 degrees or higher, showcasing an uncompromising dedication to ingredients. Other perennial favorites, such as the “Strawberry Shortcake” and “Special Pancakes,” also grace the buffet. Furthermore, we offer a splendid array of autumn fruit desserts, including the “Grape Parfait,” “Grape Jelly,” and “Grape Sherbet,” all generously featuring fresh, juicy grapes bursting with flavor. Indulge to your heart's content in the unique flavors of autumn, woven together by chestnuts, matcha, and grapes.
