In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Hotel New Otani Tokyo, we are now asking our guests to share with us their favorite thing/moment at the hotel. Please send your story along with a photograph. (Stories without photos are also welcome.)

Announcement of winners

Winners will be announced on this page in late December this year. Winners will also be contacted via email sent from the hotel's official address, or direct message from the hotel's Instagram account.

Delivery of prizes

Delivery method of prizes will be explained in the email/direct message sent from the hotel to the winner.

Entry regulations

Those entering (hereinafter referred to as the "Applicant") in the "My Favorite Things about Hotel New Otani" promotion (hereinafter referred to as the "Promotion") conducted by New Otani Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Hotel") are deemed to have read, understood, and agreed to the terms given below (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms").

Rules regarding entry

  • Entered photos must be taken by the Applicant him/herself.
  • Although multiple entries may be made by the same Applicant, each Applicant is eligible to win up to one prize only.
  • Multiple entries for the same story/photo are invalid.
  • Prizes will be recalled if it is found that multiple entries are made by the same Applicant from multiple accounts.

Rules regarding the prizes

  • Winners of prizes exclusively for New Otani Club members must either already be a member, or have completed their application to join by October 31, 2024.
  • Prizes will be recalled if the winner does not reply to the email/direct message sent from the Hotel.
  • After the winner replies to the email/direct message from the Hotel, there may also be a personal identification verification process via phone.
  • The entry will be invalid if the entered email address or social media account is deleted or made private.
  • All prizes are non-negotiable and non-exchangeable, and any sale or auction thereof is strictly prohibited.
  • Entries/prizes may be invalid/recalled if there are any insufficiencies, mistakes, or falsities in the entered information.
  • Emails/direct messages of the results will be sent to the winners only. The Hotel will not reply to any inquiries regarding the results.
  • The prizes do not include transportation/travel costs to and from the Hotel, and each winner is responsible to bear such costs on their own.
  • Prizes and other details are subject to change without notice.

Other notes

Applicants should also comply with or understand the following provisions.

  • Entries are only valid via the internet. Applicants are responsible for obtaining their own internet access environment.
  • Applicants younger than 18 years must enter with the consent of their parent or guardian.
  • When taking photographs, please be careful not to disturb, invade the privacy of, or violate the portrait rights of others around you.
  • The Hotel is not responsible for any violation of portrait or other rights of any third party incurred by the entered photo. Applicants must solve any disputes that arise between any third party on their own.
  • Entries shall be made in the discretion and responsibility of the Applicant. The Hotel is not responsible for any loss or damage the Applicant may incur with regards to entry to the Promotion, unless such loss or damage is cause by the Hotel intentionally or by gross negligence thereof.
  • Entry to the Promotion is free of charge. Any connection or communication fees shall be borne by the Applicant.
  • The Hotel will not bear any membership fees of the New Otani Club, even if the Applicant joins for the purpose of this Promotion. (No membership fee is required for international members.)
  • The Hotel reserves the right to change, cancel, or terminate the Promotion at any time, whether in part or in whole, without prior notice, and is not responsible for any loss or damage the Applicant may incur with regards to such change, cancellation, or termination.
  • The Hotel will not answer any inquiries regarding the use of email or social media platforms.
  • The Hotel reserves the right to change the Terms as necessary without notice, and to take the necessary measures to ensure the appropriate operation of the Promotion.
  • Applicants may not object to the result of the selection. The Hotel is not obliged to disclose the result or reasons of selection in any way.
  • Any entered stories/photos may appear in the Hotel's website, newsletters, social media posts, articles or advertisings (newspapers, magazines, internet, etc.) of the Hotel, regardless of whether they win any prizes or not.
  • Stories/photos that may infringe on any copyrights or portrait rights will not be shown.
  • Entered stories/photos will be used in the public relation and advertisement activities of the Hotel, and may appear in its Facebook account or website, or be displayed within the Hotel premises. Applicants will not be notified for such use of their entered stories/photos, and there will be no reward/compensation for such uses.

Prohibited acts

Any acts defined below are strictly prohibited, and may result in the disuse or deletion of the entered story/photo.

  • Any acts that violate the Terms
  • Any acts that hinder the operation of the Promotion
  • Any acts that disturb, disbenefit, harm, or displease others
  • Any acts that defame or denigrate others, or damage the honor or reputation of others
  • Any acts that violate the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of others
  • Any acts that infringe the property, privacy, or portrait rights of others
  • Any entries/posts that are obscene, or contribute to child pornography or sexual exploitation of children
  • Any distribution of commercial information, advertisements, or solicitations
  • Any acts against public policies
  • Any acts that do not adhere with the purpose of the Promotion
  • Any malicious or inappropriate acts

Disclaimer

The Hotel does not provide any guarantee regarding the integrity, accuracy, security, utility, etc., of any information, programs, or services provided in relation to the Promotion, or any other particulars thereof. The Hotel is not responsible for any loss or damage, caused by cases including but not limited to the following, incurred by any user, Applicant, or third party.

  • Any regular or emergency maintenance of the Promotion's computer system
  • Any troubles or disputes that occur between Applicants/users, or with any third party
  • Any interruption, delay, or defect in the services of the Promotion caused by natural disasters, major system failures, fires, power suspensions, aggravation of communication environment, and other force majeure conditions, as well as obstructions of the services or malicious modification of information regarding the Promotion by any third parties
  • Any incomplete reception of information caused by entries to the Promotion from environments other than those suggested by the Hotel
  • Any mistaken transmission of or defect in the information provided in regards to the Promotion, without intention or gross negligence of the Hotel
  • Any other direct or indirect trouble, loss, or damage the Applicant may incur in regards to entry to the Promotion
