The new family connecting room “Rikyu” was born to accommodate multiple guests.
The design concept is “Rikyu chic,” a modern space that embraces the world of “wabi and sabi” advocated by Sen no Rikyu, who was associated with Osaka Castle.
Elements of the “tea ceremony room” and “sukiya,” such as shoji screens and tatami mats, are expressed in the design and furnishings, and soft natural light is effectively let in through the shoji screens. In the bathrooms, fragrant cypress wood baths are used so that residents can experience Japan's proud bath culture.
The wide floor plan allows for smooth wheelchair access, and the universal design embodies innovation and diversity.
