Experience a Japanese style "matsuri" festival in the Japanese garden. Cultural performances such as "Oiran Dochu" (parade of the courtesan), "Tezuma" magic, and live calligraphy painting; and activities such as "Daruma" decorating and "Yuzen" dyeing will be available.

A new style of cultural entertainment in which a Japanese calligraphy artist will paint a 3-meter-wide scroll in just 20 minutes.

Rejoice in spring exuberance with the festive sounds of the Koto harp.

Dye a handkerchief in the methods of traditional "Yuzen" textile. You can take home the finished handkerchief as a souvenir.

"Daruma" Decorating

Daruma dolls are Japanese papier-mache figures that are regarded as a good luck charm. The different colors each have their meanings, such as red for general luck, black for protection from bad luck, green for good health, and so on. Decorate your own daruma to invite good luck for you and your loved ones!
