Spring (late March througn mid April.) in Japan means cherry blossoms called SAKURA, which is a very important seasonal element in our culture as it coincides with the end and beginning of the school year, thus often associated with graduation and subsequent life events. Friends and family gather under cherry trees to appreciate its blossoms and enjoy themselves while drinking and eating.

Osaka Castle Park, right in front of Hotel New Otani Osaka has approximately 3,000 cherry blossom trees within and is one of the most popular cherry blossom viewing spot in Osaka and also in Japan. Visitors can enjoy collaboration of SAKURA and Osaka castle tower together during that time. Also cherry blossom will be illuminated until 9pm from late March to early April, allowing visitors to experience the transitory beauty of blossoms alongside the ageless presence of Osaka Castle, the city's most beloved scenic area.

Cherry blossoms tunnel in Mint Bureau

Not to hold the 2020 Cherry Blossom Viewing in Osaka this year in order to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease.

Another best cherry blossoms viewing spots in Osaka. It is famous for its beautiful cherry blossoms pink tunnel in the Mint Bureau. There are more than 130 species, approximately 350 trees in bloom, lining about 560m road. Usually best viewed in mid-April.
